Susan Jean (Weaver) Walter

Susan Jean Walter, 71, Stoystown, passed away Dec. 4, 2018 at home. Born May 16, 1947 in Windber, daughter of the late Eugene Harold and Phyllis Jean (Oldham) Weaver. Survived by her husband of 50 years Frederick P. Jr.; children: Lynesia married to Daniel J. Drake, Tarentum, Frederick P. III married to the former Heiderose Gooden, Fairhope, and Bryan N. married to the former Marci Walton, Chambersburg; grandchildren: Ian, Owen, and Sabrina Drake; Phillip, Nicole, Victoria, Ruby, Willow, Emmett, Sadie, Adelyn, and Bryson Walter; brothers: Samuel (Ruth), Darryl (Bonnie), and Shawn (Brenda) Weaver; sisters Claudia Kotch, Lucinda (James) Cochran, and Melodie (Rick) Black. She was a graduate of Windber High School, received an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies and a B.S. in Behavioral Science (Phi Beta Kappa) from Mount Aloysius, and a graduate of Somerset L.P.N. School. Former case worker for Somerset Co. Workshop. Member of Stoyestown Area Historical Society. Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until a service at 5 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Pastor Nathan Weaver officiating. Inurnment at Crum Cemetery at a later date.
