Verl C. Bittner Jr.

Verl C. Bittner, Jr., 77, Fairhope, died Sept. 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Oct. 17, 1940 in Fairhope, son of the late Verl Sr. and Lydia (Leecy) Bittner. Survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Judy Shaulis; children: Kristine (Tom) Somers, Salix, Karen Lytle, Fairhope, and Kevin (Erin) Bittner, Naples, FL; grandchildren: Matthew and Andrew (Haley) Varchol, and Madison, Mikaela, Nolan, and Sullivan Bittner; and brother Ray Bittner. He was the owner and operator of a dairy farm, and he was also a school bus driver and mechanic for the Berlin and Meyersdale School Districts. Member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Fairhope. He enjoyed gardening, his pets, watching sports, and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service at 12 Noon Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
