Amanda Russic Obituary

Amanda Lee Russic, 40, Butler, formerly of Stoystown, died May 30, 2020 at home. She was born Sept. 30, 1979 in Somerset. Survived by her husband of 9 years, Justin Platt, daughter Amiah Russic, son David Platt, sisters Erika and Lenore Russic, brother Michael Russic, special nephew Stanton Zerfoss, numerous nieces and nephews, and her quarantine buddy, Nittany. She was a 1998 graduate of North Star High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State, and her Master’s Degree from American Military University. She was a Chief Warrant Officer in logistics with the US Army. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, the Stoystown American Legion Post 257, and the Army Warrant Officer Assoc. She enjoyed Penn State Football, crafting, singing karaoke, and spending time with family. A memorial party will be held at a later date.
