Anita Louise Alkire

Anita Louise Alkire, 81, Friedens, formerly of Gray, died Aug. 10, 2020 at Countryside Personal Care Home. Born Jan. 15, 1939 in Gray, daughter of George and Evelyn (Racey) Phillips. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Beatrice and Sarah Phillips, and brother George Phillips. Survived by daughter Vicki and husband Fletcher Stafford, Friedens; granddaughter Amanda and husband Aaron Swanson, Boswell; great grandchildren Lexi and Ronnie Swanson; brother Roy A. Phillips, Stoystown, and special niece Sonya and husband Ken Weaver, Hooversville. She was a 1956 graduate of Jenner Boswell Joint High School and retired teller from Somerset Trust. Member of First United Methodist Church, Somerset and attended Somerset Senior Center. A private viewing and service will be held at the convenience of the family. The service will be live streamed on the Deaner Funeral Home Facebook page on Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. David McCall officiating. Interment Beam Cemetery.
