Anna Darlene Poorbaugh, 86, Fairhope, went to be with the Lord July 10, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born April 8, 1934 in Frostburg, MD, daughter of Stanley Webster and Florence (McKenzie) Warne. Preceded in death by parents, husband Samuel Wayne Poorbaugh, sister Helen Chaney, and brother Everett Warne. Survived by children: Pamela Ann (Keith) Hetrick, Fort Hill, David Wayne (Charlene) Poorbaugh, Fairhope, and Patricia Lynn (Jon) Marteney, Meyersdale; grandchildren: James L. (Marney) Leister, Kayla Ann (Brandon) Tuck, Samantha Jane (Charles III) Beck, Mary Catherine (Christopher) Leonardi, Justin Michael Paul and special friend Sadie Smith, Melissa Hope Paul and special friend Nicholas Hoover, and Kristin Noelle Paul and fiance Stewart Trulick; great grandchildren Ashton Mace Shepardson, Finnegan James, Tessa Scott, and Colin Samuel Leister; and brother Russell Warne, Grantsville, MD. She was a 1953 graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg, and a graduate of Catherman’s Business School of Cumberland, MD. Former employee of Oxford Roofing Co., Falls Church, VA as an administrative secretary and the Berlin Brothersvalley School District in the dietary dept. Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset. She served on the election board of Northampton Twp. for many years, in addition to being a member of the First Society of Farm Women. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Vigil Service in the afternoon.
