Beatrice Joan "Bea" (McCleester) Hollern

Beatrice Joan “Bea” Hollern, 87, of Indian Lake, died May 27, 2024 at home. Born March 24, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of James Earl and Florence Isabel (Phenicie) McCleester. Preceded in death by parents, husband John F. “Ted” Hollern, and daughter Wendy Spencer. Survived by sons: Craig and wife Denelle, Johnstown, Scott and wife Donna Gibson, Indian Lake, and Brett and wife Christine, State College; son-in-law Robert Spencer; grandchildren: Lyndsey, Samantha, Kate, and Ben; and her loving pet Luna. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School. Former member of Windber Hospital Auxiliary, Windber Rotary, and longtime member of Windber Country Club. Bea loved golfing, bowling, reading, and spending time with her family, friends and dogs. Bea and Ted were once acknowledged in Golf Digest for both having a hole-in-one on the same course, on the same day. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Entombment service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Richland Mausoleum.
