Betty Jane (Seeley) Moore

Betty Jane Moore, 90, Berlin, died May 20, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born Oct, 31, 1929 in Wilkes Barre, daughter of Harold Hill and Florence (Heacock) Seeley. Preceded in death by parents and husband Rev. Clarence C. Moore. Survived by children: Kirk S., Somerset, Jeffrey S. married to the former Pamela Sanner, Berlin, Arnold S., Martinsburg, and Amy Elizabeth married to Michael Myers, Dover; grandchildren: Jarod, Andrea, Angela, Travis, Emily, Jason, Rebecca, Kira, Mason, and Ethan; great grandchildren: Colton, Jordanna, Bennett, and Casper; and sister Patricia Ann Carey and her family. She was a 1947 graduate of Hanover High School, Wilkes Barre. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. After marriage she was a very busy pastor’s wife and mother of four with various part-time jobs. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church and associate member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. Member of Rockwood Post 279 Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed serving the Lord, music, cooking, sewing, and teaching others. Due to the current health concerns, a private viewing and service will be held. The Funeral Service will be broadcast live on Deaner Funeral Home’s Facebook page Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. John Barichivich officiating. Interment Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
