Betty Lou (Brady) Petro

Betty Lou Petro, 86, Berlin, died October 30, 2025 at UPMC Shadyside. Born March 7, 1939 in Shanksville, daughter of Joseph and Gladys (Snyder) Brady. Preceded in death by parents, husband of almost 60 years, Joseph, son Mark, and brothers Robert, Cary, and James Brady. Survived by sons Cory and Samuel (Julie) Petro; grandsons: Nicholas Petro and Bryce and Brett Cover; sister-in-law Susan Petro; cousin Ruth McKay; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. Betty was a homemaker and the caregiver for her oldest son, Mark. Member of SS Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church and the St. Mary’s Altar Society. She loved baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a Panakyda Service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Goodtown.
