Blanche Alta (Snyder) Sanner, 95, of Berlin passed away peacefully at her home on May 19, 2025. Blanche was born on May 11, 1930 in Black Twp. She was married for 72 years to the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Sanner, who passed away on March 22, 2020. She was the mother of five children: Judith (Terry) Pletcher, Rockwood; Roberta (David) Wyant, Berlin; Larry (Kate) Sanner, Rockwood; Pamela (Jeff) Moore, Berlin; and Douglas (Roxanne) Sanner, Rockwood. She was loved by her 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Shultz, of Rockwood. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Eva Edna (Weimer) Snyder and was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Edna (Mosholder) Snyder, and nine brothers and sisters. Blanche was a hardworking homemaker, raising her children, keeping a spotless house, tending her garden and caring for her lawn while supporting Bob in his business. They also loved to square dance on Saturday nights. She was the oldest member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Rockwood. In 1982, they began spending their winters in Naples, Florida where Blanche enjoyed golfing, lying in the sun, walking, fishing, biking, shopping and hosting her family for their annual visits. She enjoyed being part of the “A Team” at Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she spent Thursday mornings with friends preparing bulletins for Sunday services. She spent summers traveling with Bob throughout the United States, visiting a total of 45 states. She also loved playing the slot machines at casinos she encountered during her travels, always excitedly shouting “ca-ching” when she hit. Blanche (also known as Nana) was an accomplished baker, whose pies are legendary in her family. She made many family favorites, and her recipes are compiled into a family cookbook to keep her memory alive. According to her wishes, a private service for immediate family only will be held. Rev.
