Carol Jean Fogle, 77, Berlin, died March 30, 2023 at Meyersdale Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 11, 1945 in Berlin, daughter of Charles H. Sr. and Dorothy E. (Weyand) Diest. Preceded in death by parents and brothers Harry Diest and Charles Diest, Jr. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Barry G.; children: Barry E. (Wendy), Mark A. (Viktoria), Kevin N. (Trish), and Ginger M. Fogle and Dana A. (Brandon) Trent; grandchildren: Jessica, Danielle, Autumn, and Austin Fogle; and sisters: Eleanor Popovich, Dottie Ann Robinson, Deborah Vanyo, and Barbara (Lynn) Schrock. She was a 1964 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and worked as a filing clerk for the FBI in Washington, D.C. until 1966 when she moved home to raise her children. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. She loved camping, playing dominos, her dogs, planting flowers, talking with her siblings, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev Jay Shaffer officiating. Interment Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
