Carole K. Duppstadt, 84, of Buckstown, died Jan. 30, 2020 at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born Nov. 22, 1935 in Fairhope, daughter of John and Mary (Ellenberger) Benning. Preceded in death by parents, husbands James R. Duppstadt m. 1960-1998 and Stephen Slivka m. 1956-1958, and sisters Imogene Stiffler and Betty Landis. Survived by children: Melody married to Mark Wetmiller, Shelburne, VT, Mark and wife Terri, Matthew and companion Jeanie Riegel, all of Buckstown, Michelle married to John Kimmel, and Michael and wife Robin, all of Shanksville; grandchildren: Lindsey (Tim) Furnary, Madison Wetmiller (Brandon Skanes), Emily (Zach) Baer, Jake Duppstadt (Mikayla Ott), Amanda (Mike) Upton, Samantha Duppstadt (Brendan Sell), Abby Duppstadt (Michael Young), Jonathon (Rachel) Kimmel, Michael (Victoria) Kimmel, Zak (Alli) Duppstadt, and Ben and Kate Duppstadt (Aaron Fyock); 12 great grandchildren; sisters: Janet Gindlesperger and Judy Suder; and brother Larry (Audrey) Benning. She was the owner operator of Duppstadt’s Country Store for 49 years. Member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Buckstown. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, spending time with customers at her store, and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Family will receive friends from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Buckstown. Rev.
