Cassandra Lee (Ross) Knopsnyder

Cassandra Lee Knopsnyder, 79, Berlin, died July 11, 2025 at UPMC Somerset. Born April 20, 1946 in Meyersdale, daughter of Merle and Catherine “Pearl” (Shroyer) Ross. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred Knopsnyder, brothers Dwight and Dwayne Ross, and John Ernst, and brother-in-law Joe Slifco. Survived by her children: Rodney (Cathy) Ross and Michael (Mary) Housel; grandchildren: Kristen, Cassie, Trisha, and Travis; sister Gwen Slifco; sisters-in-law Joy Ross, Joyce Ernst, and Nancy Bittlebrun; nieces and nephews: Jim, Jack, Mary, Patricia, Christina, Scott, Angie, Georgia, Michelle, Melissa, and Heather; and special friends: Christine and Chris Krepelka, Jessica, and her “buddy” Zach. She was a member of the Sarver Community Church, Berlin, where she served as treasurer for many years. She enjoyed the country life, living on Deeter Gap Rd. her entire life. She enjoyed feeding her “stray cats” and her raccoons that came to visit her every day. There will be no viewing or service at her request. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
