Catherine L. "Kay" (Gary) Ackerman

Catherine L. “Kay” Ackerman, 81, Fairhope, died April 13, 2020. Born May 29, 1938 in Upper Turkeyfoot Twp., daughter of Daniel M. and Thelma (King) Gary. Preceded in death by parents; husband Grant E. Ackerman in 2003, brothers: Wayne, Dale, Oscar, Vincent, and Ross Gary; and sisters: Ada Friedline and Leila Shaffer. Survived by children: Tim (Victoria) Ackerman and Lorie Hoffman, both of Fairhope; Step grandchildren Beth and Julie Henry; brothers: Leonard (Shirley), George (Alice), and Donald (Debra) Gary; sister Nancy (Harry) Gindlesperger; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a 1957 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. She was the Service Dept. Clerk at Sears for over 25 years and was Northampton Twp. Tax Collector for several years. Member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church where she was a member of The Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed family gatherings, camping, shopping, cooking, baking, the outdoors, and Autumn. Due to the current health concerns, a private viewing and service will be held. Pastor Joe Gray officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe. Memorial contributions may be given to Mt.
