Charles Peter “Petie” Eutin, 88, Lavansville, died January 15, 2024 at home. Born April 4, 1935 in Ralphton, son of Alex and Anna (Booza) Eutin. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Harry and Alex “Zarky”; sisters: Anna Constantano, Helen Blucas, Julie Zevichek, and Elizabeth Rodgers. Survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Faye Schlosnagle; four sons: Charles E. (Lori) of Berlin, Timothy of Harpers Ferry, David and Richard, both of Lavansville; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister Betty Ann (Richard) Nicklow, Ralphton; and brother William Ronald (JoAnn) Eutin, Kantner. He quit Forbes High School his junior year along with six other boys from Ralphton to join the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for Ford Motor Co. and NYCRR Detroit after his discharge. He moved back to Somerset Co. to work as a janitor and became manager of three garment factories, the last one being JC & Me, Hollsopple. His only regret was not getting his diploma. Chuck and his lifemate enjoyed traveling in an RV and yearly fishing trips to Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, and flying in to Quebec and Alaska. He loved reading, westerns, word puzzles, and walking his beagle Razor. He loved teaching his sons and grandchildren to fish and hunt. There will be no viewing or visitation.
