Charles J. Weyand Jr., 69, of Friedens, died Feb. 6, 2024 at UPMC Somerset. Born Dec. 9, 1954 in Somerset, son of the late Charles J. Sr. and Mary Ellen (Williamson) Weyand. Survived by his loving companion of 24 years Sandy Twombly; children: Kristy L. (Joseph) Sterle and Corey D. Weyand; grandchildren: Kaylin, Sarah, and Trenton Weyand, and Addison Sterle; brothers: Ray D. (Michele) Weyand, Terry L. (Beverly) Weyand, and Clarence A. Weyand; and sister Donna M. (William) Langham. Charlie was a retired heavy equipment operator for Svonavec Inc. He loved his grandkids, tinkering with his tractors and his potato garden.
