Charles J. Weyand, Sr.

Charles J. Weyand Sr., 91, Friedens, died May 9, 2022 at home. Born June 22, 1930 in Quemahoning Twp., son of William Calvin and Mary (Miller) Weyand. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Mary Williamson, five brothers, and three sisters. Survived by children: Charles J. Jr. and friend Sandy Twombly, Ray (Michele), Terry (Beverly), and Clarence “Buddy” Weyand, and Donna (William) Langham; ten grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Leroy Weyand; and sisters: Bessie (Calvin) Zarefoss and Grace Nicklow. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Retired mechanic for PennDOT and formerly worked for Harris Boyer. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Pastor Kurtis Frampton officiating. Interment Mizpah Cemetery.
