Clara Mae (Bruck) Smith

Clara Mae Smith, 67, Fairhope died Jan 25, 2020 at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born Dec. 26, 1952 in Somerset, daughter of Alvin and Ruth (Harmon) Bruck. Preceded in death by parents, brother Melvin “Sonny” Bruck, and sister Carol Restly. Survived by her husband of 45 years Don; children: Angie married to Dale Miller and Jacob married to the former Jody Glessner, all of Berlin; grandchildren: Leah and Lauren Miller, Logan Smith, and Austin (Ariel) Kalina; sister Wilma (David) Fetter; and brother-in-law Frank Restly. She was a 1970 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Former employee of Snyder of Berlin, and a self employed house cleaner. Member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church where she served in the Ladies Aid, pianist for 40 years, and organized the Memorial Day program. Also a member of Don’s Thumbs Up Gang for Relay For Life. She enjoyed yard sales, gardening, canning, and spending time with her grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Rev. David Klink officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
