Clinton Eugene Hay, 76, of Friedens, died January 1, 2026 at UPMC Altoona. Born May 29, 1949 in Somerset, son of Eugene Clinton Hay and Ruth (Patton) Hay Fieg. Preceded in death by parents and sister Phyllis Hay. Survived by wife of 54 years the former Darlee Shaffer; children: Heather (Robert Jr.) Ohler, Keith (Stephanie) Hay, and James (Jenna) Hay; grandchildren: Levi and Natalie Ohler, Wyatt Clinton Hay, Ryan and Alex Ginter, and Addyson, Titus, and Autumn Hay; and brother Alan (Marie) Hay. He was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and a retired custodian with 19 years of service for Shanksville-Stonycreek Elementary School. Member of Somerset Alliance Church, where he served as an usher. He enjoyed hunting, wheel horse tractors, lawn care and gardening, going for drives, wood working, puzzles, and grilling chicken and hamburgers for family events. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Somerset Alliance Church. No viewing at the church. Rev.
