Dale Chaney Obituary

Dale Eugene Chaney, 72, Fairhope, died Feb. 25, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Oct. 24, 1950 in Allegheny Twp., son of Fred W. and Leona (Benning) Chaney. Preceded in death by parents and an infant brother, Roger. Survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, the former Betty Shumaker; son Benjamin (Samantha) Chaney; granddaughter Cora Rosemarie, the light of his life; brothers: James L. (Janice), Larry W. (Delores), and Ricky L. (Susan) Chaney; sisters: Phyllis E. (William) Watkoski and Linda S. Pape; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families, He attended Berlin Brothersvalley High School. He was a welder and did maintenance for PBS Coal. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Matt Deal officiating. DeanerFuneralsAndCremations.com
