Daniel E. Evans, III

Daniel E. Evans III, 68, Somerset, died March 25, 2023. Born August 26, 1954 in Somerset, son of Daniel E. II and Irene Elizabeth (Reiman) Evans. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Julianne Mcdaniel and Amy Cook, and brother Michael. Survived by sons: Brett Evans and Lucas Evans; granddaughter Jennifer Evans; brothers: Tod (Holly) and Sid (Jaime) Evans; brothers-in-law Roger Mcdaniel and Jeff Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1972 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. He was retired from PBS after 23 years and worked security for Hidden Valley. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Buckstown and F.O.E. Lodge 1801. Dan loved all sports, especially the Steelers and Shanksville basketball. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
