David Milton Walker

David Milton Walker, 63, of Friedens, died Aug. 15, 2023 at home. Born April 4, 1960 in Somerset, son of Elizabeth Ann (Baird) Walker, of Somerset, and the late Milton Harry Walker. Also preceded in death by son Joseph and father-in-law Ralph Bowers. Survived by his wife of 43 years the former Vicki Bowers; son Michael; sister Lee Ann Walker and her daughter Ceanna; mother-in-law Janet (Putman) Bowers; sister-in-law Gloria Foster; brothers-in-law: David, Mark (Jodie), Ronnie (Valerie), and Brad (Danielle) Bowers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1978 graduate of Somerset High School and a retired Natural Gas Well Technician. Associated with Laurel Highlands Church of Christ, Stoystown. Dave coached baseball in the Somerset Area for many years, and was inducted into the Somerset County Old-Timers Baseball Hall of Fame last week. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Evangelist Robert Long, minister.
