Debra Faye Ibinson

Debra Faye Ibinson, 69, of Somerset, formerly of Austin, TX, died Jan. 28, 2023 at UPMC Montefiore. Born April 15, 1953 in Somerset, daughter of Faye (DeArmitt) Ibinson, of Somerset, and the late Patrick John Ibinson Sr. Also survived by daughter India Neilan and fiancé Benjamin Hawk; brothers: Patrick John Ibinson Jr. and Sean Thomas Ibinson married to the former Elizabeth Haacke; several nieces and nephews. She was a 1971 graduate of Somerset High School and attended University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown. She married Terrence Neilan in 1977 and moved to Texas in 1979 where she raised her daughter and worked as an Executive Assistant. Debra retired from Dell Inc., Austin, TX. She was a beautiful whistler, quoted Shakespeare and preferred to cook her Thanksgiving turkey on the grill. She loved crosswords, road trips to the desert, hikes in the forest, Patsy Cline, Neil Young and every animal she ever met. Her laugh was the loudest in the room and her sarcasm punctuated with one arched eyebrow. Her love for her friends and family was as deep as the Mariana Trench. She was eloquent and beautiful and wise. And timeless. She was mother. She was also a gardener, a chef, a diplomat, a story-keeper, a code-breaker, a psychic, a comedian, an explorer, a therapist, a survivor, a force to be reckoned with and a harbor in the storm.
