Denver A. Reed, Sr.

Denver A. Reed, Sr., 86, of Stoystown, died March 23, 2025 at home. Born July 12, 1938 in Buckhannon, WV, son of Clifford and Edna (Mitchell) Reed. Preceded in death by parents, wife of 54 years the former Carol Ware, infant son Denver, granddaughter Jamie Ware, and sister Vivian Mallet. Survived by children: Debbie married to Randy Shippy, Vicki married to Eugene Faust, Denver Jr. married to the former Daryl Kipp, and Denice married to Chad Sturtz; grandchildren: Jason (Mandy) and Michael Shippy, Gena (Jason) Fritz, Eugene R. (Jennifer) and Joshua (fiancée McKenzie) Faust, Kayla (Travis) Sparks, and Connor and Brady Sturtz; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother Marvin Reed; and sisters: Barbara Busch and Eileen (Richard) Dean. He worked as a supervisor at Safari Contract Cleaners for many years until his retirement and worked part time at The Patriot for many years. He enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, puzzles, and working in the yard. He also enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music festivals. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Deaner Cremation Center, 976 Barn St., Hooversville, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Larry Weigle officiating.
