Donald Eugene “Duck” Shepley, 78, of Stoystown, died Oct. 25, 2025 at home. Born Jan. 28, 1947 in Somerset, son of Harold Sr. and Helen (Gindlesperger) Shepley. Preceded in death by parents, brother Charles, infant grandson Barron, and sister-in-law Jean Shepley. Survived by children: Donald Jr., Michelle (Donald) Martin, and Jennifer (Chad) Wilt; grandchildren: Mattison (Josh) Shannon, Peyton (Justin) Bilger, Parker and Braylee Shepley, Mitchell and Jessica Martin, Jalynn (Nate) Mills, and Zachery and Zoey Wilt; great grandchildren: Emmie, Silas, Kate, Levi, Addy, and Lakelynn; sister Holly (Louis) Shroyer; brothers: Harold Shepley Jr. and James (Linda) Shepley; sister-in-law Betty Shepley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Forbes High School and served in the Army National Guard Co. B. He was employed at Tractor Supply, Somerset. Member of Stoystown American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. Viewing from 12 noon until service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Pastor Sharon Fox officiating.
