Donald Wayne Trent

Donald W. Trent, 80, Berlin, died Nov. 12, 2020 at Rest Assured Living Center, Meyersdale. Born Aug. 12, 1940 in Friedens, son of Lloyd D. Trent and Jemima (Hay) Trent Yoder. Preceded in death by parents, step father Royden Yoder, brother William “Bill” Trent, and sisters: Ruth Ling and JoAnn Becker. Survived by his wife of 57 years the former Alice Dickey; daughter Christine A. (Allan) Blubaugh; grandsons: Eric and Korey (Allea) Blubaugh; and sister Darlene Zerfoss. He was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and a retired mechanic at Bender Shoe Co. with 42 years of service. Former member of Mizpah Lutheran Church. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, and Berlin Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid hunter and loved working with his brother Bill at their home place. Don was passionate about wood working. He made many pieces throughout his life.  Inurnment Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
