Donna Gayle (Thompson) Foust

Donna Gayle Foust, 79, Berlin, died Dec. 13, 2019 at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born Feb. 22, 1940 in Turtle Creek, daughter of William J. and Kathryn Emma (Miller) Thompson. Preceded in death by parents, husband Merle “Sonny”, son William Edward Foust, grandson Michael Foust, brother William Roy Thompson, and sister Ada Smith. Survived by children Steven (Sherri) Foust, Fairhope and Gayle (Gary) Jackson, Meyersdale; grandchildren: Kelly (Josh) Rubright, Kristen Foust, Cody Gooden, and Jason Foust; step grandchildren: Danny Reed and Terri Albright; great grandchildren: Bonnie, Isaac, Kiera, and Gunner Rubright; step great grandchildren: Casey and Samantha Albright and Wesley and Madalyn Reed; and daughter-in-law Louise Foust. She was a 1958 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and a former employee of Snyder of Berlin. Member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren where she was involved in the choir, Women’s Fellowship, and former board member. Member and Chaplain of Berlin Senior Citizens. She played trumpet and sang with the Starliters Gospel Music Ministries. She was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved gardening. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday at Beachdale Church of the Brethren.
