Doris J. (Lichty) Paul

Doris J. Paul, 87, Berlin, died June 29, 2025 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born February 18, 1938 in Meyersdale, daughter of Ada Lichty. Preceded in death by her mother, uncle and aunt Homer and Alice Lichty, and brothers-in-law Doyle and Leon Paul. Survived by her husband of 68 years, Carl “Ed” Paul; children: Jeanne (Russ) Hillegas and Jeff (Tricia) Paul; grandchildren: Brandon (Autumn) and Kyle (Rebecca) Hillegas and Turner (Haylee Peters) Paul; and great grandchildren: Avery, Isla, Brennen, and Anna Hillegas, and Syrus Witt. She was a 1956 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Doris was a seamstress at various county sewing factories prior to retiring. Member of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church where she served as treasurer for many years and Trinity Chapter #138 Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzles, attending her grandsons ball games, and visits with her grand doggies Dash and Remi. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where an OES Service will be held at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
