Dorothy Ann “Dede” Brogin, 86, of Friedens formerly of Boswell, died June 25, 2023 at UPMC Altoona. Born Feb. 6, 1937 in Somerset, daughter of George and Frances (Saponsky) Leasure. Preceded in death by parents, husband Stanley C. Brogin, daughter Selena, and brother Frank Leasure. Survived by daughters: Teresa Brogin, Cara Brogin and fiancé Jeff Matkosky, and Tara Brogin; granddaughter Samantha Brogin; sister-in-law Vickie Baraniak; and close friend Betty Wiencek Pynos. Dorothy attended Jenner Boswell Joint High School. She was a former garment worker and was known for her loom rugs. Dorothy enjoyed riding horses in her younger years.
