Dorothy Helen Corden, 90, Friedens, died May 3, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Nov. 11, 1931 in Acosta, daughter of Samuel and Virgie (Dove) Charlton. Preceded in death by parents, husband George Corden, sons Steven, who passed away on May 1, 2022 and Jeffrey Corden in 1985, brothers: Howard, Vincent, Samuel, Freddy, Frankie, and Ray Charlton, and an infant sister Margaret. Survived by children: Kathy Corden, Mark (Jean) Corden, Douglas Corden, Lisa Corden and friend Robert “Shuttlebug” Merriman, and Georgia (Rick) Meehleib; daughter-in-law Kathryn Corden; grandchildren: Stacy Corden, Chuck and Ben Krupper, Kristie (Justin) Timulak, Melissa (Josh) Schiffhauer, Nichole Corden, Mario (Mandy) Corden, and Richie and Rosalee Meehleib; great grandchildren: Samantha Corden and fiancé Nick Holsopple, Mason and Lydia Krupper, Tyson Krupper, and Emma and Lyla Timulak; and special caregivers: Suzanne Heller and Debbie Schiffhauer. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville. Her biggest dedication in life was her family and she will be greatly missed. She enjoyed country music, yard sales, stained glass, going dancing with George, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville.
