Edward W. Martz

Edward W. Martz, 71, of Berlin, died June 7, 2025 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born Sept. 8, 1953 in Meyersdale, son of the late Sylvester and Thelma (Johnson) Martz. Survived by children: Jim (Eva) Martz, Nicole Price, BethAnn Martz and partner Jed Claar, Ian Martz, Tylor Martz, and Calvin Martz; grandchildren: Cody, Chloe, Evan, Ilona, Draven, Kya, Callie, Ashton, Hayden, and Wyatt; great grandchildren: Bobby, Aurora, Aadric, Klaudia, and Jaron; sister Mary Merges; and friends at the New National Hotel. He was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, and worked at numerous electrical and cable companies throughout the area. He enjoyed music, gardening, watching Jeopardy, tinkering with electronics and small engines, riding motorcycles, and making wine. Family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Inurnment Center Lutheran Church Cemetery, Garrett, at the convenience of the family.
