Edward W. Tarker

Edward W. Tarker, 76, Berlin, died March 8, 2025 at home. Born April 23, 1948 in Pittsburgh, son of Edward J. and Ruth (Goettel) Tarker. Preceded in death by parents and brothers Charles and Fred Kirch. Survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Georgia Kohlmeyer; sons: Jeffrey (Sonya) and Gregory (Rebecca) Tarker; grandchildren: Cameron and James Tarker; and sisters: Nancy Foster and June French. He was a 1966 graduate of South High School in Pittsburgh and was a US Navy Vietnam War Era veteran. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. He enjoyed fixing things and talking with people. He was also an avid writer. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday March 15th at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Chaplain Stephanie Betsa officiating.
