Edward F. Zorn, 95, of Berlin, died April 17, 2023 at home. Born November 18, 1927 in Berlin, son of Edward M. and Ethel (Beech) Zorn. Preceded in death by parents, brothers James, Robert, and Richard, sisters Patricia Claycomb, Barbara Widner, and Kathleen Zorn, and son-in-law William Chronister. Survived by his wife of 76 years, the former Violet “Dutchie” Coleman; children: Richard (Tawnya) Zorn and Connie Chronister; grandchildren: Margaret (Tim) Sprowls, Charissa (April) Merrill, Tina (Andy) Phillips, Jeremy (Tash) Zorn, and Jacob Zorn; great grandchildren: Joel, Grace, Maddox, and Alexandra; sister Lillian Conard; and brothers: Joseph (Rose) and Gerald (Marcie) Zorn. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and was present at the surrender of Japan which ended the Pacific War. In addition to working as a coal miner, he served as a Brothersvalley Twp. Supervisor for 12 years. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, American Legion Post 445 and VFW Post 7295 where he was a past Commander of both, and SAL Squadron 445. He was the last surviving member of the Berlin Last Man’s Club. There will be no viewing at Ed’s request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. Rev. Robert Keplinger officiating.
