Edwin Charles Johnson, 70, Garrett, died Oct. 20, 2019 at home. Born Feb. 17, 1949 in Garrett, son of Clyde and Josephine (Schrock) Johnson. Preceded in death by parents, first wife the former Linda Clark, and special cousin Randy Johnson. Survived by his wife, the former Gladys “Snook” Brant; daughter Valarie married to Brett White, Meyersdale; grandchildren Ryan, Logan, Katlyn, and Alyson White; sisters Ann (Bart) Rosenberger and Sue (Rodney) Simmons; step son Donald (Amy) Legas; and step grandchildren Emily (Triston) Deal and Shawn Legas, and mother-in-law Ardith Brant. He was a 1967 graduate of Meyersdale High School, a Vietnam War Army veteran, and retired from P.R. Steelcoat. Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice, 1590 N.
