Eleanor A. Pile, 104, of Davidsville, died Oct. 22, 2025 at Laurel View Village, Davidsville. Born Oct. 23, 1921 in Friedens, daughter of Oscar Park and Alvina (Matthys) Pile. Preceded in death by parents, brother Donald A. Pyle, and sister Erma Fristad. Survived by her sister Edna “Polly” Strayer, Davidsville; niece Nancy (Farrel) Harris, Kelso, WA; and nephews: Mark (Patti) Fristad, Portland, OR, Roger Pyle, Wake Forest, NC, and Richard Pyle, Friedens. She worked for the U.S. Government, Washington, D.C., at various departments and retired from government work in 1973. She was one of many from the area who went to work in Washington at the start of World War II, and she made her home there until 2013 when she moved to Laurel View Village. After her retirement she and friends did some traveling in the United States and other countries. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. At Eleanor’s request, there will be no viewing or service. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Friedens Lutheran Church Ministry Fund, 131 S.
