Elwood W. "Woody" Shaulis

Elwood W. “Woody” Shaulis, 88, of Listie, died Feb. 28, 2025 at UPMC Somerset. Born Jan. 10, 1937 in Stoystown, son of Lester and Mae (Baker) Shaulis. Preceded in death by parents, sisters: Lois Saylor and Audrey Thomas, and brothers: Kenneth, John, and an infant brother Jimmy Shaulis. Survived by his wife of 27 years the former Jan Sheets; an amazing boy dad to: Cary (Pat), Mike (Kim), Dave (Missy), Kevin (Susan), and Shawn (Erin); Pap Pap and grandpa to: Brad (Lauren), Jeremy (Nicole), Justin (Brittany), Megan (fiancé Jim Marnell), Matt (Mary), and Will (Abby) Shaulis, and Nicole (Ryan) Beeghly; great grandpa to: Hazel, Harrison, Harper, Grant, Andrew, Stella Rose, Owyn, JJ, Maddy, Gabe, Liam, Anderson, Lucius, Connor, and Carson; brothers: Donald (Lori) and Tim Shaulis; sisters: Mary Jane McGregor, Gail (Stanley) Clark, and Esther Kendig; his “littles”, great nephews and niece: Bryce, Dash, and Karlyn Croyle; and four legged friends: Nutmeg and Remi. He was a graduate of Somerset High School. Formerly worked at Talbert Tire, former Somerset Twp. Supervisor, and retired from the Turnpike as a toll collector. He loved his family fiercely, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He loved all things lemon, strawberry waffles, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. No viewing or service at Woody’s request.
