Evelyn M. (Hunter) Zolla

Evelyn M. Zolla, 89, Coleman Station (Friedens), died November 4, 2023 at The Patriot. Born March 11, 1934 in Friedens, daughter of Glenn and Elizabeth “Libby” (Wright) Hunter. Preceded in death by parents and daughter-in-law Michaella Zolla. Survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert; sons: Glenn (Glenda), Dennis (Lori) and Dean Zolla; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren: and sister Verdean. She was a 1952 graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. She was formerly employed at IXL Creamery and retired from the Area Agency on Aging. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church and was a regional leader in the Stoystown Lioness Club. She was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from scouting. Evelyn enjoyed hosting family dinners and watching the beautiful birds. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Friedens Lutheran Church, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. John Barichivich officiating.
