Frances Estella (Brown) Shaffer

Frances Estella Shaffer, 89, of Somerset formerly of Quecreek, died May 23, 2019 at UPMC Somerset. Born Sept 20, 1929 in Somerset, daughter of Melvin and Estella (Queer) Brown. Preceded in death by parents, husband Clair R., brothers: John, Robert, Gene, and William Brown. Survived by children: Terry, New Centerville, Connie and fiancé Joe Miller, Berlin, Kim Shull, Somerset, and Scott, Jennerstown; grandchildren: Robert (Jodie) Shaffer, Heather (Michael) Himmelrick, Amber Shull, and Estella Shaffer; great grandchildren: Megan, Zachary, Makaylee, Luke, Bella, and Eli; great great grandsons: Coltyn and Keegan; sisters: Maryanna Bonham and Sarah Jane Freytag; brother Melvin (Carol) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Somerset High School. Member of Sipesville Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, canning, reading, and spending time with family.
