Frances Irene (Eash) Shultz

Frances Irene Shultz, 90, Somerset, formerly of Berlin, died March 26, 2020 at The Patriot. Born May 24, 1929 in Quemahoning Twp., daughter of Harry W. and Gladys (Miller) Eash. Preceded in death by parents, husband Richard “Rusty”, and son-in-law K. Stanley Glessner. Survived by her daughters Susan (Robert) Poorbaugh, Garrett, and Penny Glessner, Friedens; granddaughters: Christine and Melissa Poorbaugh, Stacy (Mark) Mankamyer, and Brenda (Victor Jr.) Gaibor; great grandchildren: Nathaniel and Andrew Mankamyer; Kyla, Hannah, Victor III, Cora, Christian, Dakota, Tyler, Jaiden, Andi, and Audree Gaibor; and sister Connie (Charlie) Sturtz. She was a graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. She enjoyed very much babysitting Melanie (Stutzman) Renzi and Laura (Stutzman) Rometo in their younger years. Member of Unity United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School, assisted with fund raisers, and cleaned the church for several years. She enjoyed sewing and tending her flowers. She faithfully cared for her husband for several years before his death. Due to the current health concerns, a private viewing and service will be held. Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating.
