Frederick Allen Schreffler

Frederick Allen Schreffler, 69, of Somerset, died March 4, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 22, 1950 in Somerset, son of Charles “Bob” and Evelyn (Escherich) Schreffler. Preceded in death by parents, and grandchildren: Jonathan and Amanda Ohler. Survived by his wife of 45 years the former Joan Hilliard; daughters: Melissa married to Steven Ohler, Somerset, and Charlene married to Christopher Geiger, Boswell; grandsons: Allen Ohler and Austin Geiger; and brother Robert Schreffler, Stoystown. He was a 1968 graduate of Forbes High School and retired from Wheeler Brothers, Somerset. Member of Mostoller United Methodist Church and Woodmen Life, Somerset Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.
