Gail Lynn (Miller) Slater

Gail Lynn Slater, 64, Somerset, died Oct. 2, 2020 at UPMC Somerset. Born June 5, 1956 in Cumberland, MD, daughter of Harold and Virginia (Hunter) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, infant daughter Valerie Marie Slater, and brother Roger Miller. Survived by children: Virginia (Frank) Dellatore, FL, and Joshua and Nathan Slater, Somerset; grandchildren: Gideon, Seth, and Celeste Dellatore; sister Kay (Jim) Mostoller, Friedens; and brother Gary Miller, Hagerstown, MD. She was a registered nurse, most recently employed at South Fayette Nursing Center. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her cats, her stuffed animal collection, doing crafts, giving gifts and caring for others. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, followed immediately by a private service which will be live streamed on the Deaner Funeral Home Facebook Page. Per state mandate masks and social distancing are required. Rev. Sylvia Baker officiating. Interment Greenville Union Cemetery.
