Gary Joseph Betts

Gary Joseph Betts, 80, of Fairfax City, VA, formerly of Hooversville, passed away on April 20, 2022 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born on July 11, 1941, in Johnstown and raised in Hooversville. Gary moved to Fairfax, VA with his wife Rose Marie (Pysnik) where they lived together until his death. He was predeceased by his parents Wade and Mary (Labencki) Betts and his beloved granddaughter Rose Marie Betts. Gary leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Rose, sister Carol Zborovancik, brothers Bryan and Jan Betts, and his living legacy: sons Victor and Wayne Betts, his daughter Tammy Gumbita, daughters in-law Martha Betts and Brenda McVeigh and son in-law David Gumbita. He will be forever missed by his grandchildren Joseph and Kevin Betts, and Gabrielle and Austin Gumbita. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until service at 2 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville. Pastor John Caddy officiating. Interment P.O.S of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
