Gary Allen Shaffer II

Gary Allen Shaffer II, 68, of Stoystown, died March 12, 2025 at home. Born August 29, 1956 in Somerset, son of the late Gary James and Mildred Elizabeth (Engle) Shaffer. Survived by wife of 45 years the former Jocelyn Philip; children: Gary James III (Erica), Wesley, Brandon (Lemma) and Desiree Shaffer; grandchildren: Gary Roman IV, Sylvia, Pearce, Duke, Ollie and True Shaffer; sisters: Connie (Ted) Szapka, Judy (John) Krause, Tracey (Tim) Luther, and Joan Stanley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1974 graduate of North Star High School (Forbes Campus) and was employed by Operating Engineers Local 66. Member of Hooversville Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed working with his family on the farm, working for Keystone Stabilizer, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Pastor Stan Pisarski officiating.
