Gavin Xavier Konieczny

Gavin Xavier Konieczny, 15, Berlin, died Sept. 16, 2020 at home. Born April 14, 2005 in Somerset, son of Amanda Walker and Joshua Konieczny. Preceded in death by maternal great grandfathers DeVon Walker and George Hummel, paternal grandfather James Heiple, uncle Justin “Tony” Heiple, and his dog Meadow. Survived by his parents; sister Alexis; grandparents Lynn and Robin Walker and Deborah Heiple; great grandmothers Geneva McVicker and Jeanne Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a tenth grade student at Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was in the culinary program at Somerset Vo-Tech. He played basketball and worked with his grandfather at Walker Pump and Plumbing. He enjoyed chicken wings, cooking, eating, and spending time at Lake Stonycreek. A private viewing and service will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
