Glenn R. Mitchell

Glenn R. Mitchell, 68, Hooversville, died May 28, 2026 at home. Born December 31, 1957 in Somerset, son of Robert E. and Dolores Ethel (Christner) Mitchell. Preceded in death by parents and sister Sheila Padden.

Survived by his wife of 11 years, the former Barbara Hitchcock; sons: Robert and Eli (Gina) Mitchell, Kevin (Rebecca) Cornelius, and Kyle VanGorder; daughters Amanda Witcher and fiancé Kyle Engleka and Leona Witcher; grandchildren: Eliza, Koltyn, Jonah, Ariel, and Alice; and sister Sheri Custer.

He was a graduate of Forbes High School and was retired from J & J Truck Bodies and Trailers. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, model cars, working on cars, and spending time with his family.
