Hannalee J. “Peggy” Mitchell, 80, of Berlin, formerly of Rockwood, died March 4, 2020 at Meadowview Nursing Center, Born April 4, 1939 in Cumberland, MD, daughter of Robert Vaughn and Helen Lee (Middleton) Dennison. Preceded in death by parents, husbands: William Dean Johnston and Everett Mitchell, brothers: William and Dennis Dennison, and sister Donna Dennison. Survived by children: William (Sue) Johnston Jr., Beverly Lasure, Pamela (Robert) Mays, Jr., and Peggy (Wayne) Raupach; grandchildren: Tommy Johnston, Heather Pelesky, Brittany Delasko, Jamie Preptit, Christopher Mays, and Tanya and Tiffany Raupach; great grandchildren: Atticus and Juniper Preptit, Laurel Mays, Mya and Josie Pelesky; brothers: Jim, Sonny, John, Rick, and Roger Dennison; and sister Nancy Bridges. She was a graduate of Hyndman High School. She was the former AV Director for Shanksville-Stonycreek High School, and a former Jamesway employee. Member of Somerset Eagles and Order of the Eastern Star. There will be no viewing or service, as Hannalee has decided to donate herself to the Humanity Gifts Registry to aid in medical research.
