Harold Roger Pile, 78, of Friedens, died April 2, 2022 at UPMC Somerset. Born May 11, 1943 in Friedens, son of Homer and Naomi (Zeigler) Pile. Preceded in death by parents, sister Doris Friedline, and brothers: Jay, Ray, Fred, and Paul Pile. Survived by his wife of 60 years the former Emma Mostoller “The love of his life”; son Joel (Amy) Pile, Naples, FL; 3 grandsons: Collin Pile (Hannah Elliott), and Noah and Casey Pile; sister-in-law Diane Pile; many nieces and nephews; and special great great nephew and nieces: Colt, Caydence, and Camdyn Walker. He attended Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. Retired Stone Mason for over 50 years and owner/operator of Carl’s Fruit Stand in Florida for 40 years. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Stoystown Lions Club, Friedens Chamber of Commerce, Stoystown Sons of the American Legion, and Somerset F.O.E. Aerie 1801. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Friedens Lutheran Church, where a Lions Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Additional viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday at Friedens Lutheran Church.
