Homer A. Miller

Homer A. Miller, 85, Stoystown (Buckstown), died July 6, 2024 at Hollidaysburg Veteran Home. Born Nov. 26, 1938 in Shanksville, son of Clarence and Marie (Godfrey) Miller.

Preceded in death by parents and brother Ralph.

Survived by daughter Cathy (David) Houseworth; grandchildren: Robyn (Robert) Ritchey, David Jr. (Cheryl) Houseworth, and Julie (Bradley) Beegle; great grandchildren: Gage, Garet, Marissa, Adam, Emma, Caden, and Leah; great great grandson Easton; brothers: Jerry and Mervin Miller; sister Judy Saville; and close friend George Critchfield.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and the owner of H. Miller Excavating. Member of Stoystown American Legion Post 257, Bedford Moose, New Baltimore Sportsman’s Club, and Jenner Rod and Gun Club.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating.
