Howard Eugene Ginter

Howard Eugene Ginter, 100, of Stoystown (Wilbur), died Nov. 7, 2024 peacefully at home. Born April 19, 1924 in Flinton, son of Harold and Delphie (Greathouse) Ginter. Preceded in death by parents, beloved wife Dolly, daughter Debbie Fiorille, and beloved sister Virginia Shubert. Survived by sons: Kevin (Darla Johnson), Rodney, and Mark (Mary) Ginter; son-in-law Jack Fiorille; grandchildren: Melanie, Justin, Amber (Ricky), Jeremy (Penny), Ryan, Alex, Courtney, Nicolle, Natasha, Mary (Shawn), and Ashleigh (John); great grandchildren: Elijah, Christian, Justice (Jacob), Jada, Angel, Jeremy Jr., Alexia (Cory), Maksym, Ryland, Johnny, and Matthew; great great grandchildren : Elijah Jr., Emir, and Journey; and nephew: Jan and family. Howard left school after the 7th grade to work alongside his father in the coal mines. Later working at General Motors, Cleveland, OH, in the stamping plant and various other departments. Howard also owned his own plumbing and heating business for 64 years. Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching western movies, antiquing, camping, building things, watching people at the mall, sitting on his front porch, and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 17th, at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Elder Eduardo Elizondo, of C.B.C.G., officiating.
