James Foy, Sr. Obituary

James A. Foy Sr., 81, Garrett, died March 30, 2020 at home surrounded by his children. Born Aug. 27, 1938 in Meyersdale, son of Wilbur C. and Virginia (Miller) Foy. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Dona Beal, son Scott, and brothers: David and Donald. Survived by children: Tammy Berkey, Craig Foy, and James Foy Jr., all of Berlin; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Trent and Neva Glessner; and brothers: Jack, Robert, Thomas, Wilbur, and Albert Foy. He was a stone mason by trade, and worked for Darr Construction for many years. Member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren, Berlin Veterans Home Assoc., Bricklayer’s Union, and New Baltimore Sportsmen’s Club. He was well known for his masonry and carpentry work. Due to the current health concerns, a private viewing and service will be held. Chaplain Stephanie Betsa officiating. Interment Foy Cemetery.
