Janet E. “Bubba” Rivera 80, of Hooversville died Sept. 24, 2021 at the home where she was born Jan. 2, 1941. She was the daughter of Charles and Helen (Fisher) Corbett. Preceded in death by parents, and brother Gerald Corbett. Survived by her husband of 45 years Glendon Rivera; children: Carlynn (Butch) Evans, Roz (Daniel) Kaltenbaugh, Tony (Lisa) Strasiser, Stacy (Wade) Rozier, Adriane (Michael) Revak, and Heather (Bryan) Brougher; grandchildren: Lindsey (Chris) Chappel, Tyler (Miranda) Revak, Max Strasiser, Tanner (Aubrey Stull) Revak, Tony Strasiser, Kara (Jacob) Boehner, Brennan Brougher, Gus Strasiser, Danny Kaltenbaugh, Eli Brougher, and Kade, Kory, and Grace Rozier; great grandchildren: Aaron and Ayla Chappel, and Fetzer Revak; brother Fred (Marilyn) Corbett; and beloved dog Rusty. She was a 1959 graduate of Forbes High School. She worked as a professional model and retired after 30 years as a postmaster. She was also the Quemahoning Twp. Tax Collector after retirement. She was a member of Stoystown American Legion Auxiliary, Postmaster’s Assoc., and Stoyestown Area Historical Society. Despite battling Parkinson’s disease for over two decades, it never defined or dampened her strong spirit. She was a continuous beam of strength to her loved ones, family and friends who she consistently expressed “Love You More.” There will be no visitation or viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23rd at the Stoystown American Legion. Memorial contributions may be given to Bedford Co. Humane Society, 182 Bohn Rd., Bedford, PA 15522.
